Welcome to the Town of Avon, Indiana. Incorporated in 1995, the Town of Avon is located five miles west of Indianapolis in Hendricks County and is ten minutes away from Indianapolis International Airport. Avon was the first Tree City USA Community in Hendricks County and prides itself in the preservation of the natural environment. Avon is the home of four star schools and has a rich musical tradition that includes three national championships and thirteen state championships for the Avon High School Marching Band.

2018 Spring Tree Sale 

Bald Cypress Tree Overview

The 2018 Spring Tree Sale runs March 19 through April 20.  Available species for this year’s sale include: October Glory Maple, Sugar Maple, Tulip Poplar, Saucer Magnolia, River Birch, Prairie Fire Crabapple, Bald Cypress, Japanese Lilac, Emerald Arborvitae and Blue Spruce.  The trees can be used in yards or common areas, and specific species can be planted along the street between the curb and sidewalk.  The Town of Avon will once again offer hole digging service and deliver trees free to in-town residents.  Tree sale information and order forms can be obtained on the Avon web site: www.AvonGov.org  under the Community info tab, or picked up at Town Hall. All prices and trees may vary up til sale date!
